Pcb Holder with Magnifying Glass

A key part of being able to see your circuit board clearly is being able to achieve the necessary magnification levels. However, you might actually need less magnification than you think. In fact 2.5x to 20x should be enough.

The answer can vary depending on the specific task at hand and personal preference. However, a common recommendation is to use a magnification of 2x to 4x for general soldering work. This level of magnification provides a clearer view of small components and joints while still allowing for comfortable hand movement and maneuvering.

For more precise and delicate work, such as detailed PCB soldering or surface-mount soldering, a higher magnification may be necessary. Magnification options such as 6x or 8x can provide greater detail and precision. However, it's important to remember that higher magnification can also create a narrower field of view, which may make it harder to work with larger components.
